e end is coming...

bmt is coming to an end. now we are left with one final IPPT, SOC n our 24km route march! yes..its all coming to an end. i duno how to describe feeling...

anyway, its been a tiring week for us...we had range, thn bac, thn we had our 16 click march which was last night...we started on a high note. n throughout e whole journey, we were super high..singing almost non-stop..we walk as though we are doing our 24km.. morale was there. we r doing it for our PC. though no 1 wld say it out, it is known to all. our pc will be leaving us soon n he will not join us for e 24km graduation march. this 16km, we walk for him. no one fell out. not even chin chuan. we r sure to miss him during out 24km, but, we will walk it for him! we will finish it to e final step.

on another note, BAC. its called e basic assault course. basically, u run down this lane of obstacle. u start to run. thn u will reach a target borad. thn u will execute yr basic close combat drill. low kick, high kick, groin kick, butt smash, all e shit...thats not e point. e point is e back crawl in e mud. i was cursing n swearing non-stop while back crawling...aving mud water getting into yr helmet, into yr mouth, yr eyes...it sucks at first, but seeing those beside u getting as dirty as u, it can be quite fun actually...n yes. its fun despite e cursing n swearing...haha..do i wana do it again? i think i might...

range is prob something i wana forget...hahaa.....bobo shooter. though i pass, i can consider myself a bobo...dun ask y...hahahahaaa...

well, on range day itself, ps announced e top 10 in e platoon in running for eplatoon best. they are, not in order of merit, eddie.jason.farhan.zad.reef.me.jack.iqbal.sq.kelvin. seriously, i think its a fight between eddie n reef. not that i don not have confidence in myself, as an instructor before, they have out performed me. i put in my best effort, but they are better. it dosent matter who gets e award. for me, to be recognised as one of e best in e platoon is already an acheivement to speak, i shall not ask for more.

to digress a little, i think my paragraphing skills begins to suck. i dun seem to find a link to add e paragraphs together...maybe army is making me stupid n my brain cant function. i m in lack of vocab. i need english lessons...who wana teach me?

2 more book out to pop!

well, i m back once again...of course. its been quite a long while once again. e last time i remembered blogging was b4 i entered ns. n now here i m, blogging once again b4 bmt ends...

time past real fast. my 13 weeks of bmt has now been left with 2 weeks or so n left with 2 more book outs. geez...that was fast. looking back at the past 10-11 weeks, it has been a memorable experience for me...made new firends, seen some chracters i have never seen before outside, faced with situations never before, going through shit with people u know n trust. ns is fun after all. who says army life is boring? with e right attitude n mindset, ns is an enjoyable experience.

of course, frm my 1st day till now, there have been many ups n downs in orion company. i dun think i will list thm all down, its all in my memory. certain memorable events will be like our 7 day field camp. powder bathing everyday. e fire movements. sleeping with e mosquitoes...where can u get that in mainland singapore i ask u? more memorable one will be playing soccer n getting caught n have to get confined n resulted in e whole platoon getting shit frm our platoon sgt? thats really shit. n getting banned from smoking...thats real shit! i wont elaborate...haha...e people involve shld know!

mayb i shld update on e more recent events...had my live grenade throw yesterdae..it was fun! damn fun...e drill goes on like this: I, S8400199F, REC Lim XiangZheng, Right Master Hand, Got Sweaty Palms, Seek Permission to enter e bay SIR! once inside, 2lt zx got me into position. n here it goes:

2lt zx: take out grenade!
me: Grenade Out!
2lt zx: Prepare grenade!
me: grenade prepared!
2lt zx: ready!
me: safety ring twist! safety ring pull! safety pin out! grenade prepared n ready to throw SIR!!!
2lt zx: throw!
me: GRENADE!!!!!!!!!!!

after 6 secs, KA-BOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!

of course i had e time to see where my grenade landed b4 2lt zx pulled me down to take cover with him n immediately after that, e grenade exploded...feeling e ground shake a little, a little smile on my face, i did it. no blind. e grenade hit e target. i manage to lob it right at e frnt of e target, though it bounced to e side b4 exploding. it was a good throw. n with a smile on my face, i double out of e grenade range. a little sense of satisfaction inside me...my 1st time throwing a gre
nade. it came n it went. thats it. i completed my task.

well, time really flies as i always say. always cherish those little moments u have with yr family, gfs, friends. its these little fun n enjoyable moments keeps u goin in life. now, i have 2 weeks left with those guys before we each leave for diff postings, n i will make these 2 weeks a memorable one. e spirit of orion will always be with me! outwit! outclass! outshine! orion!
