e final stretch...
finally, everything is goin to be over soon. ippt, soc n e gruelling 24km route march is over...did my 24km march yesterday evening. e whole thing is suppose to start at 3.30 but due to e rain, it got delayed n eventually, CO BMTC gave e green light to go ahead despite e CAT 1 weather...so, e whole of school 2 formed at e BMTC parade square for warm up in e rain, and off we go at 4.30 sharp.
e whole march went well although all of our morale was kind of low in e beginning.but in e end, all of us did it with nobody fell out. our morale got higher with every step. though, rainer almost fell out due to e injury he had, but under e encouragement of eddie, he went all e way. we are proud of you rainer. this 24km is not an easy walk. walking in e rain is no monkey business. before this, none of us believed we could go all the way. but with e encouragement of one another, we made it. we persevered on. we pushed ourselves on despite e odds. e moment we hit sispec, all of our spirits lifed. cos we know, once we conqured e slope, its all e way back to bmtc.and true enough, once over e slope, we sang non stop. we quickened our pace. cos in our hearts, we know e end is coming. few more steps to home. no words can describe e feeling e moment we hit e parade square. e smile on our faces. e sense of satisfaction. e feeling of everything is over. e joy of completing e 24km. we did it!
each n everyone of us deserve a clap n a pat on e back. of course, we ended e whole thing by tossing our commanders in e air n gave them some twiggies treatment... :) now that we r left with graduation parade, n 2 more days to POP, we memories we made here will be remembered for life. right here right now, i wolud wan to say thank you guys for e wonderful memories. e shit we went through together at field camp, sit test, soc, ippt. in fact everything. now that we have only a few days left together, but rest assured, this friendship will be carried on forever till e hit grey. e times spent together will not be forgotten.
let us all look forward to tuesday. before i end it off, i woul;d like to share a quote. though its juz a simple 3 words, it means alot. its this line that pushed me on in bmt.
