cold cold night

Its a cold night. BrrRrRrr....

I am feeling kinda guilty these few days. I have been practically eating it everyday. Someone has to stop me.

A brand new week. But same old story. Rot in office, leaving early. Well, at least I was doing duty over the weekends. I just love doing duties over the weekends. People find me weird, aint weekends suppose to be out clubbing and having fun? But I prefer to spend it in camp doing duty. Well, weekends in camp are especially quiet. No one to disturb you in the afternoon, minimal activities going on. You are practically alone in camp lest those man on guard duty. =)

Had a little chat with some NSman over Singapore's economy, job prospects etc etc and as usual, when men gather together, you cant stay away from the topic of National Service. Talking about their days, comparing it with my days. Sharing their NS story with me. Its very interesting to hear from them how tough life was for them back in those days. Then it struck me. One day, I will be back in that unit doing my reservist and somehow or rather, it will be me relating my NS story to those NSFs. Interesting ehz, hopefully by then, I will still be able to remember my NSF days in BMT, BSLC, ASLC and finally TDS. =)

And while chatting over job prospect, we discussed about China. And we came to a conclusion that, when China finally opens its economy to the whole world, we are all going to be suffer. Yes. Sad to say, but good to know. With 13 billion population, can you imagine the impact they going to have on the world? China one day is going to take over USA as a power nation. Mark my words. China will be a gold mine. Like USA back in their glory days. Unless you have the capital to hop on to the China express, otherwise, be prepared to be poorer. Life will just get tougher here in Singapore.

On another hand, this particular NSman asks me if i am interested in working in China and USA for 2 years for his company when I ORD in August. And I thought why not? 2 years working experience in a foreign country gives you a competitive edge when I decide to change job after that 2 years. And given the fact that a lot of companies are venturing into China, with that 2 years, it sure will be an advantage even though I am pursuing a Diploma in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management. And even after 2 years, i decided not to go into that China line. I still can fall back to travel tourism or even go ahead with my degree. I will be be quite young then. 26 if i finish the contract. Still aint too late to go for a degree in my opinion. And i forget to add that the renumeration is quite attractive too. Hopefully he calls me up to go for an interview with his company. This is definately a chance to be missed.

Alright. Thats about it tonight. Leave me comments if you have any.
